Your Objective:

High-performing operations are the foundation of the value that we provide to our clients as the operations innovation company. To oversee and expedite our AI training and enablement initiatives within our largest business clients, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Operations.

You will have the chance to work closely as a leader in our AI training and enablement team with the top businesses in the world for generative AI and LLM development. The Director of Operations will be in charge of managing, establishing, and enhancing our connections with these clients, which may involve working in tandem with some of the most accomplished AI researchers on the planet. Leading our operations managers will entail helping them create procedures, handle challenging projects, and supervise a sizable workforce of hundreds of individuals ranging from highly skilled recent high school graduates to PhD holders and professors, engineers and mathematicians to linguists and creative authors.

Accountabilities:

Manage Strategic Client Relationships: At both the strategic and tactical levels, we collaborate with researchers and managers at our clients' organizations to identify their needs, map out their workflows, and make sure our work is accomplishing their objectives. Oversee two or three additional mid-sized businesses or one of our large tech clients. Work together with Invisible's technical and product departments on behalf of our clients to develop new frameworks and policies that will promote best practices in AI training and, eventually, enhance AI models.
Handle a team of hundreds of people in complex operations, including operations managers, analysts, and numerous AI trainers. Oversee the hiring, staffing, and training of large project teams. Make sure everyone on your team is doing outstanding process and project management at or above internal and external KPI standards.

Systems Thinking: Determine areas where efficiency may be gained and procedures can be improved; when necessary, scope new processes. When putting important issues into practice, be aggressive, inventive, and insatiably curious. In order to strengthen the team, look for cross-cutting system enhancements. You will collaborate with product managers on Invisible's technologies team to be able to design new technologies, even though some process advances won't require them.
Take Charge of Your Company: Create and put into action plans that promote profitability and growth. Maintain the health of the client in terms of both services and unit economics, and offer direction and leadership to the group of operators in responsibility of generating the client/process outputs. Own the financial cycles for the book of clients while collaborating with direct reports; this includes payroll reconciliation and approval as well as the financials' end-of-month closure.

Skills and Qualifications:

over five years of client-facing operations management expertise; track record of providing outstanding service. Excellent communication abilities, both vocal and written.
Excellent leadership and management abilities, as well as the capacity to mentor and support a group of individuals, are required. Experience overseeing a team of at least 30 employees (but 100 or more would be ideal) at least twice through two tiers of management, such as managing managers, is also a plus. the capacity to lead teams remotely and operate without face-to-face communication.

The best applicants will have experience with or exposure to AI principles, either from working at an AI-focused company or providing training, or from being in the vicinity of AI (such as CloudFactory, UIPath, etc.) or possibly even consulting for companies like McKinsey. Experience in technology or a recent (less than ten years old) ML/CS major at a university would be advantageous. We are more interested in someone with a high level of curiosity and quick learning skills than in someone with experience in the field.
Proficient in creating and overseeing financial models, particularly those involving cost-driven analysis; at ease analyzing data in spreadsheets, handling intricate calculations, and developing procedures. expertise in project management and capacity planning.

Pay & Benefits:

US working hours (EST or PST) Hours 2024: $45,000 bonus + $120,000 base
