Audio Engineer at LXT (noise annotator)

We are seeking audio engineers for a full-time or part-time role in one of our audio annotation projects, which will be conducted on our Mississauga location.
Workplace Duties:
Play audio files that range in duration from one to two minutes (with an average of about thirty seconds).
Use auditory and visual clues to analyze spectrograms and distinguish between events of interest and noise.
Using a predetermined list of labels provided by the client, label the "sounds" associated with the events of interest found in the audio recordings.
Fulfill the daily objectives and meet the annotation targets assigned to the team.
Comply with instructions and updates to achieve 100% quality goals.
Workplace Prerequisites:
An advanced or post-graduate degree in acoustic phonetics or speech pathology is required, OR a minimum bachelor's degree in audio engineering, music production, sound engineering, sound design, sound mixing, or a similar field with a strong foundation in audio engineering principles.
the capacity to read and evaluate spectrograms to recognize and assess different aspects of audio, such as noise and frequency content.
familiarity using recording application programs like Audacity.
